CANNABIS VASELINE JOURNEY

CANNABIS VASELINE JOURNEY

What is Vaseline?

Currently, there are many controversial thoughts surrounding the use of Vaseline in skin care. Many people still believe in the advantages that this product can bring, others think this is a petroleum-based product, so it is not suitable for skin care. Objectively, we should look at the scientific evidence about the properties, effects and proven side effects of Vaseline.

Vaseline is a skin care product whose main function is to retain moisture due to its rather dense texture. The main ingredient of Vaseline is petroleum jelly. It is a petrochemical product formed during the production of crude oil. Through many processes of refining and removing impurities, the amount of petroleum jelly used to produce Vaseline achieves very high purity. Hence, Vaseline is a mixture of pure petroleum waxes, minerals and some microcrystals. That makes Vaseline's texture smoother than petroleum jelly. As a result, they are applied to many different types of products such as skin and body lotions, waxes,…

What is Cannabis?

Cannabis is an herb, it contains the active ingredients cannabinoids. Cannabinoids potentially connect with the receptors regulating certain skin physiological processes. There are over 100 active cannabinoids found in the cannabis plant, but delta-9-tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) and cannabidiol (CBD) have received the most attention and research. Cannabinoids are found in the highest concentrations in the leaves and flowers of the plant. The benefits that cannabinoids can bring are extremely powerful in supporting human health, especially for those who have problems with depression or sleep disorders.

However, the cultivation and development of cannabis for medicinal purposes faces major barriers due to societal prejudices leading to some misunderstanding about this plant. In a lot of countries around the world, when we mention the phrase "cannabis", we usually only know them as a stimulant with negative effects such as psychotropic effects, feeling high. However, only one ingredient, THC, in the cannabis plant is responsible for these psychoactive effects. What about the positive effects of over 100 other cannabinoids in the cannabis plant? In addition, science has proven that a small amount of THC at a safe level when combined with other cannabinoids will create an entourage effect, helping to enhance the advantages and reduce the unwanted side effects of individual active ingredients. What the government and people need to do is promote research and determine the allowable content of THC, thereby gradually legalizing the cultivation and application of cannabis in the medical field so that people do not miss a valuable herb from nature.

Cannabis Vaseline Manufacturing Process

We use varieties of cannabis with high CBD content (genetically determined 4-7%) and with a THC content of less than 0.2%. We macerate this hemp herb in medical Vaseline at certain temperatures for a certain time. In the second phase of production, we add water to the macerate, which closes the ointment under a layer of fat, where then natural fermentation takes place and the final product is completed. Finally, the ointment is reheated, filtered, cooled and filled into containers.

Vaseline has some of its super properties compared to other media: It can be saturated with many more medical substances, which then act in ideal synergy (CBD, CBG, CBDN, etc.). Furthermore, this ointment with Vaseline medium has a shelf life of 3-4 years (ointment with medium, eg shea butter or coconut oil, has a shelf life of a maximum of 1 year). And also the absorbency of the ointment with Vaseline is much greater than with other media.

Therefore, the Cannabis Vaseline product was conceived and launched by HEMP SAPA. We believe that, along with the development of the cosmetic industry, we should keep traditional products that bring benefits and values to people. Vaseline is a petroleum-based product, but they come from nature and we can't deny its amazing active ingredient absorption properties. Moreover, there have been many studies by dermatologists proving the benignity of using Vaseline in skin care. We believe that preserving and producing a traditional product that brings value to people is the right thing to do. With a reasonable price, we hope that Hemp Sapa's Cannabis Vaseline product will reach more users.
